I am a Dutch autonomous photographer with a special interest into storytelling through documentary photography. I'm focussing on both autonomous and commissioned work. I like to tell about normal life. To me that's the most special there is.

At this moment i'm very proud to work on a new story. It's an intimate documentary about people who are dealing worldwide with the consequences of the corona virus. Since nobody can leave his house at this moment, i use a smartphone to connect to my subjects, and photograph them remotely. The project is called FACING THE LOCKDOWN. Follow it on

In 2012 i finished my studies of photographer cum laude at the "Fotovakschool" in Amsterdam with the project "GARAGEDOC". This project is focussing on a small but important piece out of daily Russian life. Garagedoc was published in Dutch newspaper "Trouw". In may 2013 the project was exhibited at the famous Dutch Photofestival Naarden.

In 2013 Garagedoc got a follow-up thanks to a grant from Stichting Anna Cornelis. The follow up is called "KOVJOR" and is also focussing on an interesting aspect from Russian daily life: wall carpets.

The logic result after four interesting, informative and positive trips to Russia is "GRUMPY RUSSIANS", wich is also focussing on a small and unknown (but very important) part of daily Russian life: the smile!

In 2015 i focussed on a big comissioned job for the Dutch government in Barcelona to make a photoserie about Dutch entrepreneurs abroad. This resulted eventually in designing and producing my first commissioned dual language book and a (first off) modular light weight exhibition, consisting out of 40 panels that were very easy to transport and therefore exhibited during one year in Spain and Holland.
