Short biography

Born 9 July 1954, Geldrop The Netherlands.


Civil engineering, Tilburg (3 years- not finished)

Photography (BA) at St. Joost Art Academy Breda, NL.

Audio-visual design (BA) at St. Joost Art Academy Breda, NL.

Internship (3 months) with Ernst Haas (Magnum & National Geographic).

Beyond Media (post-academic) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Inspiring Leadership (post-academic) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Since 1981 working as a photographer and audio visual designer for various Dutch newspapers, magazines and businesses. I am involved on various autonomous long-term projects

The past 25 years associated for University Zuyd Art Department as part-time professor in research and photography, Head of Visual Communications, a member of the management team of Media Design and Technology department and I was member of the research team Infonomics and New Media.

Since September 2015 I am focusing for 100% on autonomous projects.

Furthermore I was a visiting professor at:

VUB university at Brussels, Belgium.

Noorderlicht Photo manifestation master class, in cooperation with Anders Peterson [magnum], Ragu Rai [magnum] and Robert Walker.

Several awards were granted, for example the Kodak Award, a Polaroid sponsorship, The Amsterdam Art Foundation, Provincie Limburg Art Foundation, City of Weert.

My work is in national and international, private as well as corporate collections (a selection).
