Yasemin D.
Amsterdam

Yasemin Demirözcan (2000) is a self-taught photographer and creative director with a background in sociology and visual anthropology. Moving between multiple cultural and social landscapes, her work emerges from the tensions and translations that shape diasporic experience. Through intimate visual narratives, she centers lives and perspectives that are often obscured or overlooked. Photography, for her, is a space of encounter, a way to witness, question, and reimagine.

Alongside her documentary work, Yasemin brings this perspective into fashion and editorial projects. Her interest lies in how people express who they are, how they carry themselves, and how image-making can hold both beauty and truth.
